Can the solar power system work with a generator, when EVN cuts off the power?
In case EVN cuts power, the plant can use generators as usual.
To use solar power with a generator to help reduce fuel consumption, the generator's capacity must be greater than the capacity of the entire solar system (or part of the solar system). )
Are customers required to buy at least a certain amount of electricity from the PV system?
When the customer executes the PPA contract, it is necessary to estimate the consumption and capacity of the plant for the day. After that, the customer needs to commit to buy at least a certain percentage of the solar electricity generated by the system (about 90% or 95%), if the customer cannot make an accurate estimate, a lower commitment can be made (up to 80%), but at a lower discount. If the customer fails to buy enough electricity as committed, a fine will be charged for each kWh that the customer fails to buy.
What happens when the amount of solar power generated is not enough for the plant to use? Can customers use electricity from EVN's solar system and electricity at the same time?
The solar power system will automatically reduce its capacity when it does not generate enough electricity (because of rain or cloud cover) and now the plant will buy the electricity it needs from EVN, everything is done automatically. interruption or any breakdown and also does not require human intervention.

Approximately how often does BEC need to clean the panels and perform maintenance?
Several times a year (normally 4 to 8 times) the system will be checked and cleaned by BEC's maintenance staff. And once a year preventive maintenance check for the entire system. According to BEC's list of items to check for preventive maintenance.
What maintenance will BEC perform on the solar system?
The operation and maintenance of the solar system does not affect production. During maintenance, BEC will identify with customers some suitable areas for construction and storage of materials, at the end of maintenance BEC will disconnect power for about 2 hours to connect to the customer's electrical system. This outage will be pre-planned with the customer so as not to affect their production schedule and can be done on a Sunday or during the night.
Does the customer have to pay any fees for the operation and maintenance of the solar system?
When implementing the PPA contract, the customer does not need to pay any fees for the maintenance, the BEC team will ensure the best operating condition of the system and bear this maintenance fee themselves.
If the customer needs to replace the corrugated iron after a few years, who will pay the fee?
When executing a PPA contract, the customer is usually not required to ask BEC to shut down the solar system, as this will greatly affect BEC's rate of return, so every day the system is turned off, the customer will pay a fee for the compensation.
However, to assist the customer in the maintenance, BEC will allow 3 days a year for total maintenance, at which time the customer can turn off the solar system. If the customer does not use up these days in a year, the customer can continue to use the remaining days for subsequent years in case of greater maintenance.
Therefore, when planning for major maintenance that affects the solar system (e.g. roof replacement), BEC calculates how many days of maintenance the customer can expect and the cost. daily that they need to compensate. In addition, we will charge labor costs (at market rates) to disassemble and reassemble the equipment. The total cost will be deducted from the following electricity bills discount, until full charges are paid.
Will BEC dismantle the system at the end of the PPA contract in case the customer does not want to use it anymore?
At the end of the contract period, the customer will have 2 options:
Can BEC adjust the term of this PPA contract to 20 or 15 years?
BEC proposes a long-term PPA contract term to be able to plan long-term investment and create the best conditions for customers. In addition, we will provide operation and maintenance activities for the entire duration of the contract. In case the customer really needs a shorter time, we can still proceed by adjusting the discount on the electricity price. Therefore, the longer the period, the higher the discount rate.
How will the BEC calculate the payment for the PPA contract?
Every month (or every period according to EVN's invoice), we will calculate the amount of solar electricity consumed by customers and at a specific time, then we will calculate the total bill for that period and send Detailed report to customer. After that, we will issue a Tax invoice and the customer makes the payment according to the specified time limit.
Why do customers have to sign the contract this time instead of until there is a new policy from EVN?
If you sign early, you'll have more time to test your system's design to match your plant's needs and be comparable. Moreover, when the new policy is issued, all the employees will buy and the condition will rush, all the raw material prices will increase. Our contracts are self-expenditure and are very less affected by policy. If there is an adjustment, it is possible to make an addendum, but it usually does not affect the contract much.
